General Program Information
You may think that signs of physical abuse would be easy to identify but that isn't always the case. Child abuse and neglect are serious topics for educators. This course is designed to help teachers address the problem of child maltreatment by learning how to recognize possible abuse/neglect, report it to the appropriate agency, and provide support to children who may have been victimized.
Objectives
Learn about the types of child abuse, how to respond to a child's disclosure, how to report abuse, and some dos and don'ts when talking to children and parents.
