General Program Information
Teaching students how to perform music with expression, soul, feeling and musicality is a challenge that many teachers face. Many teachers are uneasy about performing with enough expression themselves because of unclear teaching in their own development! This course breaks this skill down into a several step process that is easy for students to understand and use, so that it is never a challenge for you, the teacher, or your students again!
Objectives
-Participants will learn how to teach students to be confident with phrase identification. -Participants will learn how to break down phrase development in digestible stages, regarding dynamic and tempo development. -Participants will learn how to adjust pacing of this instruction for different ability levels. -Participants will learn how to use research to break notational rules with your students in acceptable ways.

Additional Information
Educators are encouraged to participate in the free, private moderated discussion group for other teachers that have taken this class. The group is meant for discussion of ideas, implementation of results and tips from other teachers that have taught this unit in their classes. There is also a final exam at the end of the course in order to complete it and receive the certificate.
