General Program Information

Having trouble getting your students to take their singing to the next level? Do you want unforgettably moving and expressive performances from your students at choral concerts and school musicals? Singing with expression can be very challenging for school-aged students, but "Teaching Students to Integrate Singing and Expression" streamlines the process to make it fun and much easier!

Objectives

-Understand how to break down the elements of what makes an expressively sung vocal performance

-Create a classroom/rehearsal culture where it does not feel as vulnerable to share expressive performances

-Gain many strategies on how to teach this in lessons and rehearsals

-Help students understand how different settings affects what they need to do

-Get many approaches for expression for different character roles

High (9 - 12), Intermediate (3 - 5), Middle (6 - 8)
