Assessment literacy is an important concept for everyone involved in education. Whether you are a teacher, school leader, district administrator, policymaker, or community member, assessment literacy helps us better understand how assessment information is developed, interpreted, and used to support student learning and school improvement.
Assessment literacy is the ability to understand, interpret, and appropriately use assessment information to support student learning and informed educational decision-making.
This training series will build on this definition by exploring how Kentucky's assessment programs are designed, administered, scored, and reported so that assessment information can be understood and used with confidence.
