VPA | Interactive | Creating Artistic Ideas: Music - Refining Compositions (Grade 7)

Students will use technology to design, create and refine their own compositions. Students will begin by using art supplies to color in a grid creating their initial composition design. Next, students will transfer their grid design to the online platform Song Maker from Chrome Music Lab to create their own musical composition using specific criteria. With the help of peer feedback, students will rationalize revisions to their composition. Students will then participate in a “listening party” to experience a variety of original compositions, musical choices and artistic ideas.
