VPA | Interactive | Creating Artistic Ideas: Visual Arts - Collage Criteria (Grade 8)

Students will learn about warm and cool color schemes and visual rhythm by participating in a guided exploration of paintings and cut paper collages by Henri Matisse. Students will then design their own cut paper collage based on specific criteria. Using self-reflection and feedback from peers, students will refine their collage compositions to finalize their artwork. Students will craft a justification statement to be displayed alongside their finished artwork to be peer reviewed in a Gallery Walk.
